Barack Obama: The Hope (Final Edit)
In the interest of disclosure, I will say that in the Dem primaries yours truly voted for Hillary Clinton. So naturally, when Obama won the nomination, I decided to support him. I have never, ever donated money to any political campaign, but I did this time around. Obama got his start in the streets of Chicago (my home town), rose up, got an education, said no to a high paying corporate job and decided to work helping the needy in the Windy City streets, got elected as an Illinois state representative, got elected to the US senate, and beat the Clintons at their own game. For the reasons mentioned above and many others, hes got my vote on 11/4/08. And before you get into an intellectual argument of the contents of the video, please know that I did it as a juxtaposition of social and political history which seem to be reaching at tipping point in this election and not because I have blind faith in Obama. After all, he is human, and will commit mistakes like every single politician thats ever lived. I just hope he owns up to them. ******* Credits Sen.
