The Obama Files: Radical Associations, Bill Ayers
Bill Ayers is another name many Americans have heard by now. He is a former terrorist who detonated bombs at federal buildings and plotted to blow up an army dance at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. He remains proud of his actions (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F02E1DE1438F932A2575AC0A9679C8B63&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=all), and only regrets not having bombed more. Obama has been personal and professional friends with Ayers for more than a dozen years. When confronted with this association, Obama has said Ayers is (a) just a guy in his neighborhood, (b) a local professor, and (c) someone with whom he’d served on a charitable board. These are all true statements, but they obfuscate a much deeper relationship about which Obama is not being honest (http://townhall.com/Columnists/GuyBenson/2008/04/24/debunking_obamas_ayers_fact_sheet). In fact, the two served together on two boards—The Woods Fund and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, where together they funneled huge sums of money to a who’s-who leftwing causes. Obama’s 1995 political coming-out party took place in the home of Ayers and his wife, a fellow unrepentant terrorist. Obama now denies this, but it’s a matter of record, confirmed by individuals who attended the party. Investigative journalist and Ethics and Public Policy Center Fellow, Stanley Kurtz, has written many thorough and indispensable (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122212856075765367.html) articles (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=ZWI0MjY3NzMyODgxZGM2ZjUwNTE1MmEzOGRiZmFkNWE=) on Obama’s substantial ties to Ayers. First, CNN looks into Bill Ayers and the Obama connection. The report concludes that “the relationship between Obama and Ayers went much deeper, ran much longer, and was much more political than Obama says.” It also confirms the 1995 political party Ayers hosted for Obama. Second, Obama repeatedly states that Ayers’ violence took place 40 years ago when he was just eight years old. This is true, and it’s irrelevant. Would you shake hands with, let alone work comfortably with, someone who bombed the US Capitol and Pentagon, and remains proud that he did so? It is implausible that Obama didn’t know about Ayers’ sordid past, just as it’s implausible that he was unaware that Ayers’ hatred of this country continues to fester to this day. The following video features a 1998 ABC News interview with Ayers and his wife that showcases their continued defiance. It also portrays Ayers at a 1960s radical reunion just last year during which he describes the United States as he sees it today. Why did Obama feel comfortable around these people, and is it any wonder that he’s been less than forthcoming about their relationship?

ACORN and Ayers - the Obama Files
Democrats remind the world that Obama was a child when William Ayers was committing his acts of violence, and that the former terrorist is a peaceful, respected professor at the University of Illinois. The common opinion in the media is that the Ayers controversy is old news being kept alive by McCain supporters. But who is this Ayers fellow anyway? William Ayers was an active member of the radical Weather Underground Organization, also known as Weatherman. Weatherman grew out of the socialist organization ironically called Students for a Democratic Society. Throughout the sixties and seventies, Weatherman was behind various bombings and riots throughout the United States, including the famous bombing of the Pentagon in 1972. The organization is popularly known for demonstrating through these violent acts its opposition of the Vietnam War. However, Weatherman never hid its Marxist agenda- a classless society- and demonstrated effectively the methods by which it would achieve this utopia. But this is old news, you say. Bill Ayers is now a respectable professor. Repectable, yes. Harmless, no. Unrepentant about his bloody deeds, Ayers has essentially moved on to higher and better things: the indoctrination of children. He has written curriculum for K-12 education promoting the study of class struggles while demonizing capitalism. This should be no surprise given that he admitted to being a small c communist. So why should this be a concern when considering Obama? Obama was the chairman of the education reform committee, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge: a committee of which Ayers was also a part. The committee was split into two parts, of which Ayers was head of one and Obama the other. Needless to say, Ayers and Obama could have been together quite often as the heads of their branches during these years. Ayers allegedly hosted the kickoff of Obamas first campaign, which would be rather strange if Ayers was merely an acquaintance as Obama has portrayed him. Now, does this reflect poorly on Obama? By itself, no. Certainly, one might say Obama was unwise to associate with such a man, but by itself the Obama-Ayers connection has little relevance. What is relevant is the big picture. Obama was deeply involved in with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which is a thinly veiled socialist organization. And as Stanley Kurtz of the National Review has revealed, ACORN employs intimidation as one of its favorite weapons. No matter how much he may distance himself from his former pastor Jeremiah Wright, Obamas decision to stay at that church for as long as he did shows that the radical ideas being presented from the pulpit were not immediately repugnant to him. These, and a lengthy list of other associations that cannot be discussed in this brief article, suggest a disturbing pattern. It is said that you can tell a person by the crowd they hang out with. In Obamas case, he seems to have a taste for Marxist radicals. Such an appetite should worry voters because Marxism and democracy are incompatible.

Obama says he never heard of ACORN
ACORN has received payments of nearly a million dollars from the Barack Obama Campaign in 2008, as NancyA reported on this blog Aug. 15. Apparently the payments were funneled through Citizens Services Inc., and may have been falsely reported to the FEC. The Senator has been working with ACORN since his first days as a Community Organizer in Chicago: In 1992, Acorn Hired Mr. Obama To Run A Voter Registration Effort. He Later Became A Trainer For The Group, As Well As Its Lawyer In Election Law Cases. (John Fund, Op-Ed, Obamas Liberal Shock Troops, The Wall Street Journal, 7/12/08 ) and Representing ACORN, Obama And Other Attorneys Sued The State Of Illinois, Forcing It To Implement Federal Motor Voter Legislation That Makes It Easier For The Poor And Minorities To Register To Vote. (Some Cases Obama Worked On In His Career As An Attorney, The Associated Press, 2/20/07). Hence again impartiality is not possible. More Press Quotes on ACORN: ACORN Used In Your Face Tactics Like Disrupting Hearings, Bursting Into City Council Meetings, And Protesting Mayors Homes. (Stanley Kurtz, Op-Ed, Inside Obamas Acorn, National Review, 5/29/08 ) ACORN Has Been Accused Of Voter Fraud In 13 StatesSince 2004 And Was Convicted Of Falsifying Signatures In A Voter Registration Drive Last July, Drawing A Fine Of $25,000 In Washington State. (Editorial, George Soros: The Man, The Mind And The Money Behind MoveOn, Investors Business Daily, 9/21/07) ACORN Has Been Implicated In Similar Schemes In 14 Other States - Including Ohio, Where A Worker Traded Crack Cocaine For Fraudulent Registrations.
