Pacing junk at Pinelawn
Here we are at Pinelawn Station, where we see LIRR Train 8052, the Ronkonkoma Branch Main Line local train from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma. I have heard about Long Island Avenue, the road that parallels the track from Pinelawn towards Wyandanch, but I didn't think it was this great. If it weren't for stop lights and stop signs, and a couple of different turns, you could chase this train all the way to Deer Park. Unfortunately, that's not the case, which is why the video ended when it did, which is when I reached a stop sign. The other unfortunate thing is that I was chasing junk M7's towards Wyandanch, and not a New York & Atlantic train or at least some M3's or a DE30AC or something like that, but what can you do? Either way, this is something that is real cool, and should not go overlooked by railfans, especially if you have a car. The speed limit is only 40, but that isn't too bad because the train isn't going much faster. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
