Hewlett Taxi Burns on Third Rail of LIRR Photos
Hewlett taxi after a car accident ended up burning on the third rail on the LIRR. The incident occurred at 5:27 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in Hewlett. The accident involved a private car and taxicab operated by Ollie's taxi service. Video taken by Robert Kosowski

On Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 5:27pm, after a car accident, a Hewlett Taxicab ended up burning on the third rail of the LIRR in Hewlett. The video was shot by Robert kosowski of the Nassau County Civic Association, Inc.

LIRR Lynbrook Track Bending
At Lynbrook, NY train station Track 1A ( center tracks) @ East side of station heading to NY there is a track that has been moving vertical. I have reported the problem with LIRR but nothing has been done.
